GOArts is short for Georgia Open Arts Month which takes place each October.
It's a collective campaign to raise awareness about arts in our area.

Last October, I took up a challenge to see 31 shows in 31 days and blog about it... in the end, I saw 41.
Sure, it was a bit tiring but it was also an amazing opportunity.

The column on the left is a linked schedule of everything I saw.
For a more logical read of this blog o'adventures, scroll down to the first entry and start reading there.

I'm not a reviewer, nor am I an art critic.
I aim to raise public awareness about the great tapestry of arts & culture in our area and inspire you to get out there and enjoy it.
x ~ Here's a special thanks to the folks who provided me comps to some of these events! ~

Your Thoughts on The Da Vinci / Rogan Comparison

Funny what a small town Atlanta can be. Or what a small world it is.. I met keif at the Foundation Center's Resource Market for the Arts (great networking obviously) on Monday then ran into her again later that day at the High (I'm a sucker for free). I've been intrigued by her commitment to experience 31 days of art in Atl. Hope she had some coffee w/her lunch at Octane yesterday!

As for the Da Vinci drawings at the High and Will Rogan's photos at the Contemporary, size does matter. There is amazing detail to be seen and examined in both. No need for magnifying glasses here however. Rogan sheds a bright light on his work in our gallery. Come see for yourself.

  1. Keif~ Beth here from the Gainesville Theatre Alliance. We're sorry you are already booked for tomorrow night since it's our last performance of Robin Hood -- but we'd LOVE to comp you for our school matinees tomorrow morning (9:30 or 11:30am) if you can make it to lovely Gainesville. And on the 30th -- come see our Discovery Series production of Caryl Churchill's "A Number!"
